Third and last article devoted to the hotels which I stayed during my trip in Greece. Today we stop at this hotel in Athens, the boutique hotel Royalty Athens.

We stopped in this place for the last 3 days of our trip to the Greek capital. What should already be borne in mind is that the prices in Athens are not the same as in Santorini, here everything is much more affordable, hotels included.

We had the pleasure of staying in this very central hotel in Athens (ideally located around the acropolis and tourist places) and which has the advantage of offering a panoramic view of the acropolis from its rooftop.

The bedroom is very classic, a bit small but there is everything you need: A large bed with quality Guy Laroche branded sheets, a wardrobe and an office area and a very modern bathroom, with a large shower and even a bidet (some tourists are particularly fond of it, especially Italians).

The bedroom is very high-tech, it has a system of magnetic locks on the bathroom door, a heated mirror that turns on when it detect your hand and a touch display system at the door to indicate to housemaids if you do not want to be disturbed or, on the contrary, have them come and clean.

For a room at an average price of € 165 a night for two people, right in the center of Athens, this was perfectly fine and appreciable. However, And if you search the hair dryer in the bathroom, you will find it inside the closet 😉

LE RESTAURANT / LE PETIT DEJEUNER

avis-hotel-athenes-royalty-rooftop-restaurant

We really enjoy the breakfast. It is a large buffet served from 7:30 am with sweet and savory flavors and which can appeal to tourists of all nationalities. There are even croissants for the French 😉 The orange juice is fresh and squeezed, which is very appreciable!

The little extra of the hotel in Athens is, without a doubt, its rooftop and its restaurant. When the day falls, the hotel’s rooftop comes alive and you can drink delicious cocktails while eating mini burgers or a pizza in front of the illuminated acropolis. It really is a superb experience!

I recommend the Coco Chanel cocktails and Lilykoi’s Grace (my favorite!). The restaurant is very good, you won’t eat typical Greek dishes there, but whatever, the pizzas are excellents, the burgers also, the fresh potatoes, well, it’s a good time that we spend there- low !

AMBIANCE / PERSONNEL

The staff are charming and welcoming, you can ask them for advice on choosing a good restaurant in Athens or for booking a taxi, they will meet your needs. This hotel in Athens is quiet and well soundproofed. We didn’t see a lot of kids so it was quite relaxing.

For us it was absolutely ideal to stay there as we were able to visit everything on foot without having to take transport. If we were tired, or wanted to cool off in the room before leaving, we just had to walk a few meters to get back to the hotel. Just for this very practical side, we are delighted to have been able to stay there and we highly recommend it!
